If a defect in materials or workmanship is found in the wooden frame, sound rings, exterior ribbon, or installed hardware under normal use conditions within two years of the original purchase date, NVAGARAN will, at its discretion, repair or replace the affected component(s) at no cost to the original purchaser.

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and requires valid proof of purchase. NVAGARAN reserves the right to inspect and determine whether a condition qualifies as a defect under this coverage.

Exclusions

Surface blemishes resulting from regular handling or environmental exposure; tonal or dimensional changes caused by humidity, temperature variation, or natural material movement; structural damage showing signs of impact, neglect, improper storage, transport damage, or misuse; removal or alteration of identifying marks; and any issues resulting from unauthorized modifications, alterations, or repairs. Variations in acoustic character, response, or visual material character are inherent to natural construction and are not considered defects.

Claim Procedure

Submit proof of purchase, description of the issue, and supporting photos or videos to workshop@nvagaran.com. If inspection or service is approved, instructions will be provided. The customer is responsible for shipping the instrument or component to NVAGARAN. Return shipping is covered by NVAGARAN for approved warranty service within the contiguous United States. International duties, taxes, or fees remain the responsibility of the customer.

Remedy Limitation

Obligations under this warranty are limited to repair or replacement of defective components. If repair or replacement is not feasible, an equivalent substitution may be offered. NVAGARAN is not responsible for incidental or consequential loss arising from use or inability to use the instrument.

Out-of-Warranty Service

Service outside the warranty period remains available. Costs reflect materials at the time of service and minimal labor.

Material Note

Replacing natural skin may alter acoustic character. To preserve the traditional identity of the instrument, synthetic heads are not installed.

Governing Terms

This warranty constitutes the sole express coverage provided by NVAGARAN for these instruments and applies to products sold after publication. Governed by applicable law in California.

Each instrument is made from natural wood, animal skin, and traditional hide glue. Because of these materials, the instrument will respond to changes in temperature and humidity, which may temporarily affect skin tension and pitch. These changes are normal, reversible, and part of the character of a natural skin frame drum.

Avoid direct sunlight, rain, extreme heat, and extreme cold. Do not leave the instrument in a hot car or near heaters. When traveling, do not place the instrument in checked baggage, as temperature, pressure, and handling conditions in the cargo hold may damage the skin or wooden frame. Carry the instrument with you whenever possible.

The finish is made from natural oil and wax. With use, the wood surface may dry over time and can be refreshed if needed. Contact the workshop before applying any oils, waxes, or cleaning products.

The drumhead is made from natural skin and should not be used as a surface to place objects on. When not in use, store the instrument in a dry, stable environment, preferably inside a soft bag or case. Remove rings or jewelry when playing to avoid damaging the skin.

This instrument is not mechanically tunable. If the skin becomes too tight, a slightly damp cloth may be applied to the face of the skin to temporarily lower the pitch. In humid conditions, gentle warming of the skin high above a stove or with a hair dryer from a distance may be used to raise the pitch. These adjustments are temporary and reversible, but must be done carefully, as excessive heat will cause the skin to rupture.

Available instruments ship within 2 business days of purchase. Custom instruments are built after full payment is received and typically require 3–6 weeks to make, depending on material availability and current workload.

Shipping within the United States and to Armenia is included in the purchase price. U.S. orders ship via USPS with tracking and typically arrive within 5–7 business days. Armenia orders ship via HayPost with tracking and usually arrive within 10–14 business days.

Shipping to other countries is available only to destinations enabled at checkout. If your destination is not listed, the order cannot be placed until shipping to that region has been configured.

Expedited shipping may be available within the United States and Armenia for both available and custom instruments; options and delivery estimates appear at checkout.

Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to postal conditions and customs processing. International buyers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, delays, or refused shipments required by the destination country.

All instruments are packed individually using protective materials suitable for natural skin instruments to ensure safe delivery.

Unused instruments may be returned if the return shipment is initiated within 7 days of delivery.

Before shipping, contact workshop@nvagaran.com with your order reference to receive return authorization and instructions. Returns sent without prior authorization may be refused.

The instrument must remain in original condition with no signs of tuning stress, mounting, performance use, environmental exposure, or wear, and must include all original packaging and materials.

Return shipping and transit responsibility remain with the customer. Refunds are issued after inspection to the original payment method. Original outbound shipping charges are not refunded.

Privacy Policy

NVAGARAN collects only the information required to complete transactions, provide support, and fulfill shipping obligations. This policy describes what is collected, how it is used, and how it is handled.
